For many years diversity has been an important topic in the nonprofit world, often viewed through a lens of values. Recently, however, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion (DEI) has arisen as one of the most critical drivers to the impact that foundations and nonprofits can make on their missions. In some cases, a lack of awareness around DEI can even exacerbate the conditions that nonprofits were created to address. Our facilitator, Terra Winston, will lead a conversation about DEI and how boards can support and strengthen staff as they navigate this difficult area.
